1. Getting a Library Card
To sign up for a library card, please visit us in person with the following:
- Photo ID: A valid government issued ID with your current address.
- Proof of Residency: If your ID does not reflect your current address, please bring a piece of official mail (utility bill, bank statement, etc.) featuring your name and current address.
What Your Card Unlocks Your Logan-Hocking County District Library card provides access to:
- Physical Materials: An abundance of Books, Movies (DVD/Blu-ray), Magazines, and more.
- Technology: Wi-Fi Hotspots are available to cardholders in good standing after 6 months of active library membership.
- Digital Collections (24/7):
- Libby & Hoopla: Thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, and music.
- Newsbank: Access to local and national news archives.
- Weiss Financial: Expert financial literacy and investment ratings.
2. Loan Guidelines
Items will only be renewed if the item is not currently on hold for another patron.
3. Fines and Lost Materials
We are a Fine-Free Library! To ensure the best access for our community, we do not charge daily overdue fines on books, movies, or magazines.
Exceptions & Fees:
- Hotspots: Because these are in high demand, a late fee of $2.50 per day will be charged for hotspots not returned by their due date.
- Lost or Damaged Items: Patrons are responsible for the replacement cost of any materials that are lost or returned with significant damage.
Please contact the library as soon as possible if you believe an item is lost so we can discuss the next steps.
4. Interlibrary Loan
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Through our network, we can requisition books and other materials from libraries in Southeastern Ohio.
